Groups VIA and VIIA (16 and 17)- Ozone Casts a Shadow in UV Light

Ozone Casts A Shadow in UV Light

Description: Ozone gas is produced by a spark discharge inside a condenser. When UV light is projected on to the ozone gas against a fluorescent background, it casts a shadow.

This demonstration is available on video and JCE Software “Chem Demos” laser disc.
